Back on the Horse
After a month and a half of soul searching, we come back to Alice and the Pale Horse.
Where was I all this time?
My office.
Sushi bars.
Weight rooms.
Apex Legends.
1997 WWF areans.
New Orleans.
My own head, mostly.
But now we are back. Somewhat rested, a little more inspired and a lot more realistic about what I can accomplish.
After collecting feedback from my loyal few readers, I’ve narrowed down a few changes I’ll be making to the format of Alice to encourage more readers. Namely, the posts will be much shorter- think like, half as long. That’s…uh…actually the main change, actually. We’ll still be doing this thing once a week every week until I need my next break.
We still have well over 180 pages of Alice material pre-written to get through. But the difference this time is Ill be focusing wholly on presenting that material here. I’m also not going to look at traffic reports or try to peddle this story elsewhere (say, Reddit). I’m going to write this purely for myself, as always. But now that I have a better sense of the energy it takes to do this, I can better pace myself so I can keep this effort up for longer.
Alice isn’t over. Not by a long shot. And her story is still just as important as ever. So enough screwing around- it’s time to get back on the horse and ride.
